I know I’m not the only one around that says, I LOVE MIDDLE GRADE ACTUALLY.  The truth is, it’s really a genre that spans the generations. It opens up adventures and experiences for kids who dare to read, and it reminds adults of the dreams that they had in their childhood. It’s full of heroes and heroines, learning about and finding their way in the big world.  It teaches lessons of good and bad, and how to respect and work with others. I bet that many of your all time favorite memories are tied up in Middle Grade books. There are bazillions of extremely successful books, movies and memories that have been spawned by this genre (Has anyone heard of Harry Potter?).

Middle Grade books have so many great stories out there waiting to be discovered and loved by kids and adults alike. As a Middle Grade author and a parent, I am proud to part of the movement that aims to build the reach of Middle Grade books. From moderating the fantastic GREAT MIDDLE GRADE READS group on Goodreads, which provides a way for kids to have a say (Reviews by Kids), to supporting and recommending the wonderful resource that is BIBLIONASIUM to visitors to my blog. I hope that I can make a difference in bringing the pages of books and the stories within them to life for young readers.

  1. Fantastic! My lifelong love of reading came to me courtesy of the Hardy Boys. To this day I still love reading middle school books. They’re fun, they’re fast, and they’re easy on the brain cells. What’s not to love?
