It’s incredible to think that it’s been 25 years since the groundbreaking movie, Schindler’s List, was released. I can still remember the Oscar buzz and the great response from the industry and audiences to this movie. It was more than a movie. It was a statement about how good can come from even the worst situations. Something that is often forgotten.
The cinematography was beautifully done, and the acting was superb. It truly deserved all of the awards that it collected. Now, with its 25th-anniversary re-release, Schindler’s List can be seen by a whole new generation, many of whom wouldn’t know much about its subject. This amazing movie was re-released earlier this month.
Schindler’s List was an important movie when it was first released, and it’s even more important now. The further we move forward from atrocities, the more likely it is that new generations will forget lessons of the past. We must never forget.
